Santander Half Marathon City of Turin: Run for Research March the 28th – 29th

The events are planned, of which the Santander Half Marathon City of Turin – Run for Research will be the cornerstone – the charity run in favor of our Foundation – which will be held on Sunday, March the 29th, 2015, thanks to the support of Santander Consumer Bank and the organizational experience of Base Running.

The 3 km-long walk in favour of research will take place on Saturday, March the 28th, starting at 11:30 from Piazza San Carlo and will unfold in the pedestrian areas of Via Carlo Alberto and Via Lagrange, and will give everyone the chance to support cancer research: the participation fees for the walk will be entirely donated to the Institute of Candiolo. Also on Saturday will be a musical contest dedicated to the emerging groups of Corri a Ritmo della Tua Musica. This invitation goes to all the bands, who will have the opportunity to perform on the stage of Piazza San Carlo with facilities and structure made available by the organization.

From 3 PM an alternation of fitness activities and dance activities going from zumba to lindyhop and functional, will give fans and passers-by a unique opportunity to dance in the salon of Turin. Participants’ well-being will be guaranteed by ASOMI (Academy for the Development of Medical Osteopathy) which, thanks to the participation of about a dozen professionals between physiatrists and osteopaths will be at the disposal of sportsmen engaged in activities on Saturday and Sunday.

To emphasize the importance of sports and nutrition to live in good health, from the first week of February the nutritionist Federico Ferrero will take part in the staff of the Half Marathon, the latter having more than 25 years of passion for gastronomy and MasterChef d’Italia 2014. Ferrero will have the task of

offering some advice to sportsmen and, in particular, to all those who will venture into the Half Marathon.
