CMFS engaged in update: Dr. Cancelli at the Conference on neuro-degenerative diseases

Today Surace Medical and Physiotherapy Centre has participated at the conference “Neuro-degenerative diseases: global treatment of a frequent rarity” at the Tiziano Hotel in Lecce.

During the Congress, Dr. Simona Cancelli, physiotherapist of CMFS, has spoken about the physiotherapist’s role in the approach to the patient and about the physiotherapeutic treatment, highlighting the importance to focus on the patient care plan as an active player, through his physical and mental condition and through his personal background.

The different phases that influence the evolution of the disease were highlighted: the first one focuses on total patient care, aiming to maintain residual capabilities, preventing the complications of fixed assets.

Our physiotherapist has deepened the respiratory rehabilitation, essential in the patient with SLA; she focused on the need to ensure an effective cough through a bronchial unblock and its care, explaining its benefits and its methodologies.
