The skills of CMFS available in the territory

The theme of urinary incontinence has been addressed in detail last march 10, at the Tarantini Centre in Trani, famous Apulian structure specialized in the care of this dysfunction. There was a major conference titled “Urinary incontinence and primary care”, accredited to ECM scoring system (Italian graduation score for nurses).

The event was structured in four parts, defining, at first, the dysfunction, its epidemiology and the incontinence impact on the patient’s life quality. Therefore, it was analyzed the difference between the typical men and women who suffer from urinary incontinence.

Dr. Stefania Montagna, valuable resource of Surace Medical and Physiotherapy Centre, has spoken regarding the pelvic floor rehabilitation issue. Some very interesting clinical cases were introduced in order to share the specific physiotherapy settings; the event ended with an important reflection about the Physiatrist role.
